The slice shop is a patently American concept. Most of us grew up knowing where to go for a slice as kids with a few dollars in our pockets. A plain slice, or double pepperoni, and if we had the bucks, Coca-Cola in the glass bottle. For me, it was Patellini’s Pizza, in Sarasota, FL. They were right downtown and I used to grab a slice while taking a break in the 90’s from working on high school term papers at the library before computers and the internet were household amenities.

We don’t have an option for slices on Orcas. Pizza is universal, and it binds us together. I will price a plain slice and a bottle of coke so that one of the many hungry high school students on Orcas can cruise by on their lunch hour with a tenner and get a fun meal with enough left over to leave a tip that makes them feel good.

I will price whole pizzas so that a family in a rush can leave dinner to me without worrying about breaking the bank. I want to be the place that everybody knows is always open, 7 days a week, for lunch and dinner, and all through the winter.

Say yes to pizza.

Kindly,

Joshua
